Last updated: Apr 8, 2025

Organization settings let you configure your company's profile and defaults in Signkit. These settings apply across your entire workspace.

Accessing Settings

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar
  2. You'll see the organization settings page

General Settings

Organization Name

Your company or team name. This appears:

  • In your Signkit workspace
  • As a default in signature templates
  • In team member invitations

To update:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Edit the Organization Name field
  3. Click Save

Organization Slug

Your organization's URL identifier:

  • Used in your Signkit URLs
  • Example: app.signkit.io/your-slug/...
  • Should be lowercase, no spaces

Changing your slug affects all URLs. Team members may need to update bookmarks.

Company Website

Your primary company website:

  • Used for brand extraction features
  • Can be included in signature templates
  • Helps with auto-branding setup

To set:

  1. Enter your full website URL (e.g., https://yourcompany.com)
  2. Save changes

Logo Settings

Upload your company logo:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Find the Logo section
  3. Click Upload Logo
  4. Select your file (PNG or JPG)
  5. Adjust positioning if needed
  6. Save

Recommended specifications:

  • Format: PNG with transparency
  • Size: 200-400px wide
  • File size: Under 200KB

Logo Fallback

Your organization logo automatically appears in templates when:

  • No custom logo is set for the template
  • The template uses the logo placeholder
  • Individual signatures don't override the logo

This ensures brand consistency without manual configuration.

Multiple Logo Versions

For different use cases, consider uploading:

  • Full logo: Company name + icon
  • Icon only: For compact layouts
  • Light version: For dark template backgrounds

Brand Settings

Brand Colors

Set your organization's brand colors:

Primary Color

  • Main brand color
  • Used for links, buttons, accents
  • Enter as hex code (e.g., #1a73e8)

Secondary Color

  • Complementary color
  • Used for backgrounds, borders
  • Supports your primary color

Auto-Brand Extraction

During onboarding, Signkit can automatically extract:

  • Logo from your website
  • Brand colors from your site design
  • Company information

This happens silently when you provide your website URL. You can always adjust the extracted values in settings.

Default Template Settings

Company Information Defaults

Set default values that auto-populate in templates:

  • Company name
  • Website URL
  • Phone number
  • Address

These save time when creating new templates.

Default Template

Select a default template for new signatures:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Find Default Template
  3. Select from your templates
  4. Save

New signatures will start with this template selected.

Workspace Preferences

Set your organization's timezone:

  1. Select from the dropdown
  2. Affects scheduling and analytics timestamps

Date Format

Choose how dates appear:

  • MM/DD/YYYY (US format)
  • DD/MM/YYYY (International format)
  • YYYY-MM-DD (ISO format)

Security Settings

Session Management

View and manage active sessions:

  • See who's logged in
  • View last active times
  • End sessions if needed

Two-Factor Authentication

Require 2FA for team members:

  • Adds an extra security layer

  • Recommended for organizations

  2. Find Export Data
  3. Select what to export:
  • Signatures
  • Templates
  • Groups
  • Analytics

Data Retention

Understand how long data is kept:

  • Active data: Stored indefinitely while account is active
  • Analytics: Historical data available based on plan
  • Deleted items: Removed after 30 days

Danger Zone

Transfer Ownership

Transfer organization ownership to another admin:

  1. The new owner must already be an admin
  2. You'll lose owner privileges
  3. This cannot be undone without the new owner's cooperation

Delete Organization

Permanently delete your organization:

This action is irreversible. All data including templates, signatures, campaigns, and analytics will be permanently deleted.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Scroll to Danger Zone
  3. Click Delete Organization
  4. Type your organization name to confirm
  5. Click Delete

Best Practices

Keep Information Current

  • Update logo when it changes
